The disabled colony ship Starbound is in orbit around an unknown planet many light-years from Sol. Almost everyone aboard is trapped in frozen sleep. The only ones awake are Jason McMurdo, son of the Starbound’s captain; Mei Lin, daughter of the medical officer; and the unusual Gomez twins, Pom and Pommy. It’s up to them to return to Earth with the news of the Starbound’s plight — but they don’t know the way back.
