Update 6

Amazon has made the paperback of UNEXPECTED TALES available again!

Finished Parts 5 and 6 of the serial. Typed up Parts 1 and 2 (my practice is to write out a first draft manually; then edit and revise as I type it into Word).

The serial has been an interesting challenge. Part 1, of course, is where the characters are introduced, the basic plot set up, and the action kicked off. Parts 2-5 each contain an episode advancing the plot and setting up a cliffhanger at the end, which is then resolved at the start of the next episode. Part 6 ends with the resolution of the basic plot. The challenge is that each episode must be no longer than 2,000 words.

(The story is an outer space adventure. The setup is that a colonization ship, its occupants in suspended animation, is wrecked on an uncharted planet. For what I hope are plausible reasons only four children [two of which are 13 and two 12] can be awakened. Ultimately they decide to leave in two of the ship’s scout boats and try to find their way back to Earth. En route various things happen.)

Started work on the second Zoe story.
